It was one of the missions that was executed by Republic Operatives during the Cold War on Quesh.After examining the Shroud's assets on Tatooine and Taris, the operatives arrived on Quesh. SIS Agent Deena Riss provided them with three sets of coordinates where Shroud's data relays could be located. They visited all the coordinates and found relays there, storing the exact positions and Shroud's signal vectors. They transmitted the data to Agent Riss and she was able to triangulate a signal source - it was somewhere inside the Sewage Treatment facility.They approached the facility and went inside. They made their way through the labyrinth of sewer tunnels, bypassing many defensive measures and deactivating some of them. They found a closed grate and were able to open it with the help of a starving sewer lurker. Approaching a closed grate, they took a fragrant sewer fruit from a nearby growth and tossed it into the shielded gate control box on the other side of the grate. The fruit broke apart, and its pungent odor attracted a hungry creature, who destroyed the controls to get the fruit's pieces, causing the gate to open. Disabling several more defense grids, they finally reached the hideout deep inside the sewers.The hideout was spacious and looked like a well-maintained military bunker. Here and there, massive, hulking forms of Acklay-type droids have been seen patrolling the area. Time and again, the droids launched a swarm of stealth probes that scanned the surrounding areas for intruders. The operatives decided not to attack the droids in order to keep the element of surprise on their side until they found the source of the signal.They walked through the complex until they reached the room at the far end and stepped inside. The room looked like a command center, dozens of monitors covered the walls, and a lone Gamorrean stood by the main console. He turned around and saw the operatives - his face changed from surprise to fury in a second - and attacked, swinging two huge battle axes in a complex pattern. He was tough, and it took a lot of effort for the operatives to put him down.The operatives gained access to the mainframe and received two more sets of coordinates - on Corellia and Hoth. They then returned to the spaceport, boarded their ships, and left Quesh. |
